Disclaimer: I won a copy of this book through Goodreads' First Reads program.

At first I felt like I would have a hard time getting through a science book written for laypeople, but as I settled in I discovered that this is a fascinating and accessible book for laypeople and scientists alike. I had a hard time putting this book down even while vacationing in the Caribbean and frequently found Jeff reading over my shoulder, just as captivated as I was at the histories in the book. I wholeheartedly recommend this book to anybody interested in science and history.
