really liked it
bookshelves: audio, fantasy, scary, magic

I listened to the audio of this book and I highly recommend it. Gaiman reads it himself and does a wonderful, spooky, lilting job. It's a scary, scary story, but not AS gothic as I suspected -- or feared -- it would be. Coraline herself is awesome: calm and thoughtful and cool. Plus, a cranky cat plays a large role. So perfect. Fans of Gaiman's work have probably already read it, but if you haven't, hesitate no longer.
