really liked it
bookshelves: summer-reading

This book provides very accurate depictions of the origional text.I like the drawing and all its settings of color, lighting, human expression and pannel composition.
However, being a condensed version of the origional book, there's always details being left out, which made me feel that some parts of the book only skins surface. So,for me, the origional text does a better job in presenting the plot, especially it has an elaboration on how the imaginary world actually functions.
I think reading the graphic novels or commics is like watching the parlor walls depicting in this novel. They are immediate while directly telling you what happens through actions from panel to panel. You don't have to think much during the visual experience. I really feel lucky to read the orgional text first, to have my own interpretation before seeing Tim Hamilton's.
