it was amazing

If you've had your fill of friendly, cuddly, lovable vampires, check out the exciting new release from Guillermo del Toro, THE STRAIN. (William Morrrow, June 2, 2009) This is the first release in a trilogy that Del Toro created with co-writer Chuck Hogan and it's bound to be a hit.

In his Borders book video del Toro says he's loved vampire books since childhood and has always been drawn to the dark, edgy version of the undead. He wanted to create a chilling, suspense-filled novel that would include CSI elements and be packed with terrifying creatures. Del Toro likes to use everyday places to add another layer of terror--much of The Strain is set in an airport and the heat is on when scientists try to stop a virus that's menacing the population.

Thrills, chills and a great mystery, this is one you don't want to miss.
