it was amazing

In the YA fantasy novel, The Red Sun, Sam suddenly finds his normal life turned upside down. Sam’s English teacher is missing, and his substitute is seriously weird, like magically turn a lizard into a giant monster weird. Through a series of increasingly odd events, Sam finds himself thrown into another world, where he discovers that he needs to work against terrifying forces in order to save his friends, his parents, and himself.

I really loved the writing in the Red Sun. It’s youthful and entertaining, perfect for a YA novel. This is a great book both for kids and adults. Sam is a strong and fun lead, and there is a great assortment supporting characters. I really appreciated that the action is both intense but still appropriate for kids. This is a really strong start to the series!
I received a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
