I couldn't get thru it. I tried; I really did -- I love William Gibson, but how do you co-author a book with a legend, a master? I just can't imagine what their process could be. Does Gibson create his usual dark and twisting narrative, and then Stirling go thru and try to sunny it up, or dumb it down? Or does Gibson create a fascinatingly fractured world, with only the suggestion of human nature carried to it's darkest extreme, and Stirling go back and drop quite possibly the dullest characters who have ever existed into the mix?
