it was amazing
bookshelves: young-adult-literature, suicide, friends, popularity, high-school, death, grief, connecticut

I love it when a book surprises me. I don't particularly like books that are written for teens in the way teens talk. Kinda drives me crazy. But this book had an interesting story line: girl dies every night for 7 days and has to relive the day over again.

I started this book and was about to give up around page 150 because it was reading like the script of "Mean Girls." But I found myself intrigued. I was beginning to notice that Sam was going through the grief process each time she died. By the middle of the book I was hooked. Sam started to really see the consequences to her cliques actions.

Each chapter begins with Sam waking up from having died the night "before." At first, she's confused, then angry, then she starts to realize that maybe she can make a difference.

It was one of those books that when it ended I said "wait, it's over? That's it?"
