bookshelves: biography-memoirs, baseball, white-people-suck

Although the importance of Satchel Paige and the interest of his story makes this a worthwhile book, it is brought down by the story being told out of order and constantly repeating itself; structurally it was an awkward biography to read. Still, as a fan of baseball with an interest in the negro leagues I'm glad I read it, but I wish it had been done differently.
