I liked this historical story about three men, who haven't had easy lives but find that they belong together.

Chris is physically the weakest of the three, but he's been on his own since he was ten, and so doesn't let anyone tell him what to do. Unless it is for his own pleasure. Troy owns a bar and nobody knows that he is a wolf shifter. He has trouble accepting that violent side of himself, but the other two teach him a thing or two. James is a black marshal who seems to be the toughest of the three, but he is very lonely and I loved how he learned to trust the other two men.

An interesting story that I wish would have been longer, so the depths of these fascinating characters could have been explored even more.
