really liked it
bookshelves: fiction, childrens

This book was so short, it was more of an appetizer than a meal. A very delicious appetizer, though. I've listened to a lot of books and haven't heard many narrated by children - the brother/sister narrators did a good job.

The story was told in a unique way. It wasn't so much of a plot, as a description of how 2 children saw, felt and experienced their world. The prose was very striking, yet gracefully simple. By the end of the book I liked the whole family, and wanted to keep hearing about them. I was also sorry knowing how much their lives were about to change.
