Not a bad book, I just don't have a huge interest in this era. I appreciate that it spent a lot of time setting the stage, but it was difficult to differentiate the different women and their lives. I continually had to refer to the family tree. Not a bad thing, of course, but I wish that things had been a little clearer. Probably the best book that I've read about this era, but, again, it's not of particular interest to me. Glad I read it, yet I won't come back to it again.
