Loved this! Be warned it is a little dark.

Todd Hewitt lives in a town where everyone can hear everyone else's thoughts--it is never-ending, overwhelming Noise. There are no secrets, because you always know what everyone is thinking. Until...Todd's world is turned upside-down and he learns that the things he thinks/knows are not really true, but it is also dangerous for Todd to know the truth because of the obvious thought reading that goes on (see the vicious cycle here, I love it!). In fact this sentence probably didn't even make sense. (That's what you get whey your thoughts get in the way of your words).

Lots of action/danger and leaping into the unknown. Oh, and you can hear the animals thoughts too-even though they don't usually have much to say. (Manchee, Todds dog was one of my favorite characters). And, for the final twist, women are exempt from this Noise phenomenon.
