it was amazing
bookshelves: non-fiction, non-tech, read_2017

This is a great collection of essays. You would be hard pressed to find more interesting writing about the Illinois State Fair, professional tennis, or a luxury cruise. David Foster Wallace had a unique way of observing and writing about the world and it shines in this collection.

I didn't care for some of this; notably, I could have done with less about David Lynch. Even still, this book earns five stars from me. It makes me want to pick back up Infinite Jest for the third time so I can read more of Wallace's writing.
