Gillian's Reviews > Paradise Saved
This book tackles a huge topic, telling the story of wildlife sanctuaries in New Zealand. It is partly a listing of sanctuary projects (although there are some community projects that don't make it in), and partly advice to conservation groups involved in sanctuaries. It works well as a snapshot of sanctuaries in 2013/14 and the stories of successes and failures provide much food for thought for those already involved in projects - who will I think be the main audience for this book. Because this is a book that I'll go back to time and time again, I can see a few little things that would have made it more user-friendly - a map of New Zealand locating the sanctuaries would have been a great addition, as would a bibliography.
