it was ok
bookshelves: books-i-borrow, drama, general-fiction

A friend of mine lent me this book. The reason I picked it up was because this book was banned and burned in China and I want to know what that was all about. This book was just okay for me. It started out good because I was intrigued to find out more about the main character, Coco. But it gets boring as it moves along. The story is about Coco, a girl who lives in Shanghai, but lives a modern Western lifestyle, which is frowned upon by the older or even general Chinese population. In a way the book is interesting because I get to know the lifestyles of people living in Shanghai and the dynamics between Eastern and Western culture in Shanghai.

Rosabelle Purnama iya.... it was interesting at first, but kayaknya abis itu ceritanya yah gitu2 melulu yah... kayaknya gak jelas gitu. And i can't stand the character as well, annoying... hehe... i shouldn't have read this one..
