really liked it

The strands of the plot pull together tightly in the last thirty pages. I found it satisfying, but I can see some readers (especially non-mystery fans, although this isn't a mystery) getting irritated by how perfectly everything snaps into place. No one can deny that this writer knows what she's doing. The structure is knife-sharp, the prose is excellent, and I can't remember a book that reversed my expectations so frequently and craftily.
