it was amazing
bookshelves: latin-american-lit

Beautiful beautiful beautiful. I read this nearly 20 years ago and still remember it. A book about life, love, pain, mothers, women and letting go. Tissues necessary. And a highlighter for the chapter on Cuca’s 8 life lessons. I loved her scenes the most...

Highly recommend.

Brina You are on a roll recommending Latina writers to me. Keep them coming.

Suanne Laqueur I'm going back through the archives of the book newsletter I used to run, and finding my old faves :-)

Elyse Walters I wrote those 8 lessons out to keep! Wonderful review Suzanne. Each woman was so distinct... and I got teary when the Chin Kiss Game was played with Victor.

Elyse Walters Ok Ms.Brina!!! Enjoy your memorial day weekend!

You too Suzanne ... enjoy your weekend...and that’s so cool that you have this in your archives!
I thought about posting those eight lessons but didn’t maybe you want to.

Cheers girls. 💕💕
