When a New York Jazz society uncovers a fifty-year-old letter that was written by Georgia Valentine. Georgia was a legendary vocalist’s whose death was thought to be a heroin overdose. Casey is intrigued by her friend Dee’s excitement as to whether this was a suicide or a murder.

Joan grabs you within the first few chapters. She makes you want to follow along as Casey travels to the dark corners of New York . Casey takes her investigation from San Francisco to investigate this cold case which has laid dormant for over 50 years. Jazz musicians, a drug dealer, a mafia boss, her widower, a Broadway actress, not to mention the investigators that deemed her death as a suicide. Casey allows you to travel along with her while she interviews many suspects.
