it was amazing

Amazing "ending" to the Millennium Trilogy, though from the actual ending of the book (which is very open-ended), it's painfully obvious that Larsson had more to say and more for these characters to explore. I mean this as lovingly as possible, but the dude had a lot of nerve to go and drop dead before he was totally finished. Maybe it's for the best, maybe the rest of the books in the series would have sucked... but I doubt it. This was one of very few cases wherein the "sequels" were every bit as good as the first book in the series.
