As usual, Catherine Anderson gives me exactly what I'm looking for in romance novels. She is definitely my favorite romance author. Loretta's been mute since she watched Indians murder her parents. Six years later she's living with her aunt, uncle and cousin. She's recognized by local Indians as the mute girl in a prophecy linking her to Hunter, one of the more ruthless Indian warriors. He lost his wife in an attack years ago and hates whites, but he obeys the prophecy and goes to collect her. Anderson is an amazing writer, not just her style but the conflicts and characters she creates.
