I liked this book better than the first one. It was a pretty thick book but it stayed interesting, and moved along at a pretty good pace.

I really started liking Riley in this one. More so than I remember liking him in the first book. It wasn't that I didn't like him, but his character blossomed a little more and he became more "real" to me. I love how protective he is of Aden, Victoria and especially Mary Ann.

I think Gena Showalter really introduced some pretty big conflicts in this book and I can't wait to see how they all pan out. I love the Riley/Mary Anne conflict. The eventual impossibility of their relationship. She has really shaken it up, so that the characters don't fall into a comfortable place together. That definitely makes it more interesting for the reader, when it is a series.
