PD James is one of those extraordinary writers that constantly enthrall me. Like Elizabeth George she is brilliantly adept at creating character and place, bringing to the fore the slightest nuance, tone, shadow and ephemerality (such a word???) which she uses as she crafts her characters and unfolds her plots. It is a pleasure and a thrill to become engrossed in her complex mysteries. I am completely absorbed!

Great mystery! The sad part is that I think it was/is her last as she wrote it when she was well into her 80's (turned 80 in 2000 and it was published in '07, I think). I've read many of her books but I'll have to backtrack and find some unread ones. She's so good!
