it was ok

A fine sense of Paris and Hemingway's friends in the l920s--although written decades later. Maybe that's why some of the portraits seem to be about getting even with former friends. Interesting description of Gertrude Stein and Alice Toklas' relationship (not flattering); and F Scott Fitzgerald's wife is blamed for F's difficulties. Women don't come off very well at all.
