really liked it

This is the first Carl Hiaasen book directly at its adult readers I've had the chance to read. So far I'd only read and enjoyed its young adult books. This was just as entertaining but obviously with more adult issues and conversations. I really enjoy how Carl Hiaasen develops its mean characters, giving them an ounce of humanity that makes you cringe for them when they get in trouble. This book has quite a funny ending, especially when it comes to what happens to the bad guys. If you need some adventure and a good laugh, this is a good choice.

Carrie Rubin I actually read this book several years ago. It was a lot of fun. I think I read one more of his, too, but I don't remember which one. I'm thinking it was one of his young adult ones. I read it with my son for his class bookclub.

Milka Maybe it was Hoot, a really good one for young adults. I love his humor. He makes crime novels funny and you almost feel bad for the bad guys. Almost.
