The life of Vaudeville looks so appealing from the outside, but this tale lets you see the cracks in the facade. Told from the viewpoint of Henry, who becomes friends with a young Buster Keaton during the summer, this softly told story says a lot without any words at all sometimes. I felt for Henry at the talent show, and felt a good contentment over the answer that he finally came up with as to how to spend his life. Overall, I liked this book and will definitely be on the lookout for more by this author.
