really liked it
bookshelves: mystery-and-crime

When Stephanie's Uncle Fred goes missing, her family asks her to look into the circumstances. And with the number of bail jumpers on the decline, Stephanie's precarious finances lead her into doing some side work for Ranger. Her relationship with Morelli seems to be going nowhere, an old stalker reappears, and she has even more of her legendary car trouble.

This is my clear favorite of the series so far, largely because we see a lot more of Ranger than in previous books. As usual, some of the most fun scenes involve Lula or Grandma Mazur, but we meet some new and interesting characters, too.

I have to say though, that ending makes me very glad I've got book six ready and waiting!
