These books are like candy. You can't stop once you've started. This book ends the Bishop arc but there is still so much more to do in Morganville. Claire is still Bishop's pet but when she discovers that Myrnin and Michael both are playing double agents there is a new reason to fight. Claire turns 17 in this book and takes her relationship with Shane to the next level. It's written well, realistically and sweetly. Caine opens up the world of Morganville as we go beneath the city and learn how the portals operate and mean Ada, the central computer. She used to be Myrnin's assistant until he had one of his "incidents". He saved her essence into the computer. It was one of the better installments in the series.
