really liked it
bookshelves: just-read

I think this book is like a romance novel for 20- to 40-year-old western males. Instead of it being about battling pent-up desires, it's about battling pent-up neuroses. Every move the main character makes is exquisitely over-thought, which winds up being one of many methods he has of smoke-screening the real issues that might be at play. Along the way, it's pretty funny, too.
