The final straw in my vegetarian conversion -- on sustainability grounds; I still believe in the food chain -- but otherwise disappointing. Not much here I wouldn't expect to find in any other of the crop of books/media capitalizing on the sustainability movement. C'mon, Jane! You have GOT to have more to say about food than they do! Where are the chimpanzee-inspired insights?!! She does talk some about her time in Africa and especially about the conservation work she's doing there now, but I was hoping for, like, a chimp-based rationale for the human diet. But as Jane consumes dairy, maybe she doesn't have one. (Still an inspiring woman with a bold heart.)
