And to you :) We had the hottest day of the year today. Lovely!

Bettie☯ Psychological meanderings, a chip on the shoulder and twisted love makes for a wonderful break from Poldark.

Gerry Hi Bettie

I was interested to see this book emerge into my life again.

I bought a copy on the left bank in Paris in 1964, read it on the train on the way home and thoroughly enjoyed it.

I later saw the film, which I enjoyed but which wasn't a patch on the book. However, Linda saw the film first and read the book second and her view was exactly opposite to mine, she loved the film, thought the book less good.

Perhaps it depends on what one does first, ie read the book or see the film. What do you think?

I never did watch Poldark but did enjoy Marnie - Tippi Hendren was excellent in the film. And I must read the book again to see if my view of it then is still extant.

Bye for now.
