Things are hitting the fan and half of Vic's team is missing. She's trying to find out who is killing people all over. And save the humans while she's at it. Bodies are piling up and the human police won't take that. She's gotta make sure she finds the killer, who's draining everyone of blood, and train a rookie while she's at it.

The vampers are out and about again and this time, we get to kill some :) YAY. LOL And the talents of the team are so cool. Plus, some of her team members are at a conference, so they are no help. And there's this vamp who is sent with Vic to help her in her investigation.

This series is becoming a big favorite of mine. I love the characters so much and I can't wait to see what's going to happen with them. And I can't lie, Vic can be so blunt, but she's so real and I love that about her. She's a great kick ass heroine. And man, does she take some punches in this one. I mean a little torture never killed anyone right? Whew. I swear I freaked out several times in this one.

The writing is great. It kept me on my toes and had me turning those pages! If you like mysteries surrounded by paranormal all the while keeping it secret from humans, this is your cup of tea. Like a really good, fantastic cup of tea! I can't wait for book 3!!! Gimme! :) 5 PAWS!!
