I really do hate it when a book makes me go, “Everyone needs to read this!” I mean, it’s just so… obnoxious. Right? Maybe everyone doesn’t need to read it. (Rarely ever, they do.)

What I’m trying to say is The Greatest Show On Earth is engaging and concise and illuminating and for a large part, just downright fun. It’s a remarkable look at the history of the world as we know it and Dawkins goes out of his way to be a clever and amiable host.

I really would recommend this to anyone interested in the subject.

Asif I agree. I think that Dawkins is a wonderful writer and this book of his is fantastic although one might not agree with all of his conclusions.
