really liked it
bookshelves: fantasy, mystery, monsters

Aisling truly isn't the sharpest crayon in the box. She has the good fortune to encounter some helpful people, which is convenient since she's always doing and saying very wrong and dangerous things.

Okay, enough about Aisling. For me, it's all about Jim. No, that's not the hottie that is constantly turning Aisling to a pool of gimme-gimme. Jim is the dog. The demon in talking-dog form. I laughed. And laughed. I probably laughed when what Jim was saying wasn't meant to be funny.

Aisling & Co. wasn't really all that compelling - she was pretty dumb, and I have a limited tolerance for people (real or imaginary) who don't seem to have the ability to learn from their mistakes. At least the hottie wasn't irritatingly condescending, as so many Strong Male Characters are being written these days.

But I'll be back to the series. For Jim.
