Another book where the description sounded more promising than the actual book turned out to be. Amy moves to live with her Great Aunt Mae after breaking up with an abusive boyfriend. On the edge of Mae's property, there is an unusual mist, and when Amy walks through it she is transported to Henry's time - 1944. Will Amy decide to travel through the mist and stay in 1944? Will Henry travel through the mist to join Amy in the "future"? Or will they stay in their own times and try to move on with their individual futures?

I won't tell you the answer except to say that the end is unsatisfying. The beginning and middle kind of are too, though. Neither Henry nor Amy are well-developed characters, and none of the secondary players are either. And even though there is great potential in the plot, the writing felt flat and uninteresting.
