Women of the Otherworld... Jamie Vegas - necromancer (she can see and talk with the dead)... in her 40s (yey)... she is worried about going crazy as her grandmother & many necromancers do, she is clumsy, especially around Jeremy, she is on the council, but feels they just tolerate her, and spend to much effort to protect her...

and for 4 years she has had a crush on Jeremy - alpha werewolf (Clay's adoptive father)... and he has come to LA to be with her...

Although she can talk with the dead, she has made a career as a psychic, operating as most psychics... reading people, & getting as much background as she can... she rarely calls the dead on purpose (only for the council). She is filming seances with 2 other psychics, and staying in a home in Hollywood with them all... and in the garden, there are ghosts whom she cannot see, but who touch her, and are reaching out to her. She realizes they are children that were killed in a different way so that their souls could not cross over... she and Jeremy, with the help of Eve & Kristoff, and Hope (a chaos demon) discover a cultic group that are killing children to burn their organs to make a powder that will allow them to practice witchcraft... and it works.

Along the way, Jeremy & Jamie finally consummate their relationship... and respect one another's strengths and needs.

and by the end of the book, the twin werewolves are taking their first steps..
