it was ok

At first this book came off as a bit corny and forced to me in a way I can't really explain. Eventually I got more into the modern day storyline, though I never got into the historical one. From early on, I could pretty much tell where it was all going and then just waited for my predictions to come true, which they did. I didn't like the dark twists in the historical storyline, and all the parallels between Ella's ancestors and herself were impressed too blatantly. The author also dwelled on her psoriasis far too much, and I have no idea why.

The best part, by far, was a labeling error that made some of the title tracks in my iPod comically read The Virgin Blues instead of the actual title.
