** spoiler alert ** it's a good story, and the weak main character actually shows some growth toward the end of the book. However, there is a lot of "psycho-babble" that gets a little old. For a book that analyzes everything, the ending felt rushed with little insight.

The real identity of Rumpelstiltskin is not too hard to decipher, there aren't that many characters in the book to suspect, so his revelation is fairly predictable. However, some of the other surprises are nifty and add to the suspense.

The ending is a little disappointing in that we never really know what happens to Rumpelstiltskin.
All in all, though, a good read.
