it was ok

Eh. I really like reading about Asian culture, but I have a hard time reading about how Asian females were treated during this time. It makes me so mad. Its described as "epic" because it spans the lives of three generations of mothers and daughters. This isn't really my kind of book, it got tiresome and I sped read through it. Its the same reason I have a hard time getting through "One Hundred Years of Solitude." Too many generations and characters to keep track of.
