I so very much enjoyed Gregor the Overlander that I actually sought out the sequel almost right away. I haven't been that excited about a series in awhile. Perhaps I'm a few years behind on this one, but indulge me as I geek out over a new-to-me series.

If at all possible, this book is more intense than the first one. Gregor's problems are a bit greater when this books starts (his dad is back, yes, but he is sick and his family is very hard up on money) and the book's suspenseful ending created an even greater list of challenges for Gregor to overcome in the next installment.

As before, this book is great on audio. I give the narrator much credit for being able to enjoyably narrate the voice of a toddler.
