really liked it

What a story! What courage and love this woman had to protect a child left under her charge.... You mostly hear about how many Polish Jews were killed in the concentration camps, but you don't usually hear about the heroic of some people to save a life. It's a pity that Michael lost his parents so early in life, but I'm not sure if his mother could have done better than Gertruda to protect and love him.

I would highly recommend this book and I would definitely revisit this book again.
