This is a fun read if your the type (like myself) that likes to hear about other people's weird brains. It's seven stories about how various neurological diseases manifested themselves and how the "victims" cope - sometimes fantastically well - with their disabilities. If anything, Sacks shows that disability is a mental perception and that even the most egregious loss of function can be inconsequential with the right mind set. It is all in your mind.
