it was amazing

OMG! This was an awesome book. Full of action and not your average happy love story. People and other beings not straight up good or evil but filled with shades of gray. And on top of that it was set in Melbourne, Australia.

The story centers around Riley Jenson an office worker at the Directorate of Other Races were her twin brother, Rhoan, works as a Guardian. The Guardians are a sort of special police force that monitors all other races.
What people don´t know are that Riley and Rhoan are half breeds, part werewolf, part vampire and packless. As soon as they were old enough their mothers pack told them to leave and never return.

A series of events throws Riley in to the thick of Guardian work. She has to fight and fight hard against her brothers kidnappers, a strange wolf that wants to impregnate her and her growing attraction towards a vampire with huge scars on his soul.

It´s not your average urban fantasy/PNR book with witty dialogue and a hard ass female lead that conquers all. No, Riley has lots of troubled thoughts about peoples view of werewolfs as nothing more that prostitutes and her own problems with her mixed heritage.

I am so glad I have the next book in the series on the table beside me!
