Read in April, 2010

Florence Nightingale comes off the best of all of the people profiled by Strachey in this book. His intent was to show that she wasn't the nurturing compassionate figure popular imagination made her, but I ended up admiring the driven, relentless, and strong woman he portrayed. Not so the three men.
