Yes, it mostly happens with the alpha hero as it did with this story, but for me, either way, imma #oneclick that story quick!
This story delivered in spades on the romance, the emotion, the growth and development and the overall story development. It’s a quick (ish) read where it may feel like an insta at first but you soon realize these two were put on this earth to meet and be a couple! They are so perfectly matched it made me giddy! The author’s choices on their personalities and their interactions hit the spot on every page. I had fun reading this story because it was laced with humor, Julian and Frankie had smokin’ chemistry with a great development and their story made sense. I loved they were relatable and realistic. They were two people I could see myself being friends with! SO go do the thing :) ➡

From the moment the story begins in Noah’s POV, you can feel the turmoil that is coming. I knew from the synopsis this would be a second chance to get it right story and I was hoping it would have that signature angst inherent in stories that deal with teenage/childhood sweethearts that think they have their entire future figured out at such a young age but … Ella Frank did not disappoint!
Ella Frank did a thorough job of incorporating all the tidbits you’d expect to read in a small town romance coupled with family drama that seems to always be the center of these stories. I was overjoyed at the choices she made in developing Noah and Laurel. I don’t want to give you plot points but know that what seems to be may not be exactly what is. Keep in mind this is the first in a series and there may be some questions that won’t get fully answered until hopefully later. That’s all I want to say about the storyline. DO with that what you will :)
This is my first MF experience with Ella, and I loved it! It’s a sweet and sexy story with the right amount of drama. It’s packed full of intrigue and emotion with characters you may or may not like but will still wonder about. I am super stoked about this world that Ella has created and I cannot wait for more!...more

It’s ridiculously difficult to do because there is so much inside my head and embedded in my soul from this story that I do not know where to begin and I really don’t want my review to turn into a novella. There are times I wish that I could just say READ IT and be done but Scarlett Cole and her characters deserve so much more.
This story comes out of the gate swinging and #winning. I was so giddy with excitement after only reading the first chapter that I had to stop reading for a few hours and calm myself. THIS is the Scarlett Cole I fell in love with many years ago when she published her first novel, The Strongest Steel. That story sliced thru my soul and still today I don’t think I’ve read a story quite like it. Until Love in Moments. They’re not even remotely close as far as storylines are concerned but the power behind the writing is the same, if not better!
Anders and Olivia are two characters that will stay with you long after you finish their journey. They are real. They are flawed. They are fighters. They are sexy. They are joy. They are #couplegoals. I know there is a lot of personal experience in Olivia coming from Scarlett. You can’t write this type of character with such grace and respect and not have walked in their shoes. I shouldn’t say that. Research is a beautiful thing, but it never replaces personal insight and experience. I felt Olivia down to the tip of my soul. My personal experience with mental struggles put me in a position to understand Olivia deeper than just a surface understanding and Scarlett’s word wizardry allowed for me to live the story, not just read it. And Anders, maaaan, what a fantastic character she developed with him! Everyone deserves an Anders in their lives.
One last thing; the perfection of the conflict(s) in the story. I’m guessing by now you guys have figured out Olivia has personal hurdles she is attempting to move forward from in the story. Anders also has his own personal conflicts outside of their relationship he’s attempting to get a handle on. In most romance fiction books, the relationship always suffers a conflict before we get the HEA but when a story already has characters in conflict within themselves, it just adds unnecessary drama to the story. I mean we’ve already had a full storyline of personal conflict; do we really need more? Well, I’ve read way too many stories that do just that and I cannot tell you how #twitchy it makes me. Mad props to Scarlett Cole for not writing conflict for conflict!!

I’ve never met Scarlett Cole and I don’t think we’ve ever even had an online chat, but I have loved her from the moment I met her words because she writes from her heart. It shows in every story I have read by her. Her love for the characters pours off the pages and sucks you into the world she creates easily. She writes circumstances realistically and respectfully. She’s all that and a bag of chips! :)

Not too short or long, perfect for the storyline. Leslie Pike’s writing is easy and always flows well. The story isn’t riddled with angst even tho hard decisions need to be made about the future. It’s what I would call enjoyable emotion because the story made my heart happy. Maxen and Dominique made for a great couple and I enjoyed seeing them get their HEA! The chemistry between them was undeniable and the story was fun. What more can you ask for in an afternoon escape?! :) I’ve enjoyed a lot of Leslie Pike’s stories and now I really want to go back and read Until July by ARR!...more

The best part was the underlying explosive, delicious, sexy chemistry between Riggs and Eve intertwined in all the fun!

I was intrigued by their relationship back then and I am excited to let you guys know that their full journey was delightful and heartwarming!
Scout and Daisy weren’t simply good together chemistry wise, but also friendship wise. They clicked. We got to experience that because Tia chose to not just inform us they had a past, but go back in time and have us experience it as readers. I love that because it made it more poignant for me. It made their lives more captivating for me and allowed me to root for them more deeply. I wanted them to work out so badly there were times I felt like maybe I was bit of a nut case since they aren’t really my friends, just fictional characters LOL but that’s what endears you to a story and keep you reading, right? That pull of realism where you can see yourself in the circle of the people you’re reading about. I liked these two and almost all the choices Tia made with their relationship, past and present. They made for a great friends to more/second chance to get it right couple! Now I can’t wait to not only go back and read J.R.’s story but also a whole lot of other stories Tia has written that I have yet to experience. Something tells me I’ve missed out on some really great reading experiences! Well done! ...more

I’m pretty sure I get what the author was trying to accomplish with the choices she made for his personality, but unfortunately, it all went sideways from about the beginning. At least it did for me. I don’t want to give away the storyline nor do I want to ruin a future reader experience by spewing my prejudices in my review so I will only say that Tobias’s previous marriage ended for reasons that are really hard for me to get past. For this reason, I couldn’t connect with Sophie. It just was too easy in my opinion and it tainted my reading experience.
I try hard to read without prejudice. I’m reading a story that has nothing to do with me, and most of the times I can do it, but there just wasn’t enough fleshing out or maybe a better term would be developing of Tobias and his growth as a person. I just wasn’t given enough in the story to believe that history would not repeat itself and I just didn’t believe they’d make it to a happily ever after. *shrug*
The story as is, should probably lean more towards 2 stars than 3 but the bones for better are there, they just needed to be developed and fleshed out to make me believe in them. The writing overall was not bad, but again, see above. I dunno, this whole rating thing is so arbitrary, and sometimes I really hate it! So read my words and forget about the rating! Now about this story …
MC romances are one of my favorites to read so I am constantly seeking out new series to get hooked on and I found one in the Thanatos MC! The story of Sloan and Flynn sparked from the word go. I was gripped by the story and especially Flynn. He’s struggling as a new President and the last thing he needs is drama in the romance department but the heart wants what the heart wants *shrug* I experienced a whole rainbow of emotions while I read this story, from wanting to smack Sloan to hugging Flynn! That’s what I enjoyed the most and why I stayed up way past my bedtime reading!
I’m looking forward to a lot more from Cole Lepley and the Thanatos MC. I can’t wait to see how she grows not only the MC, but also the brotherhood!

She’s got this whole writing thing down and I love her! Her stories always make me happy and leave me happy. It’s fantastic! I’m not a huge fan of the whole best friend sibling conflict because I can’t see it being a conflict in the real world. That’s how I feel about it in real life but it has never stopped me from enjoying a well written story with that trope! This was no different. It’s a pretty quick read with a second chance trope in the mix or rather a chance to not let a good thing slip thru your fingers again :) Payton and Clay are both solid characters you’ll want to root for and possibly even be friends with!

I can never read I love Misty Walker so much I went back and reread Birdie’s Biker for this tour! This book was the perfect storm for me as a reader. I can never read too many mc romances, age-gap is my crack and Misty Walker wrote it. I mean … amirite?!
Since this is the second book in the series, we’ve already met Will and know just enough about him to get us salivating for his book. That’s the way it was for me and his story did not disappoint! Will has not had it easy. Life has not been his BFF. He’s holding a whole lot of remorse for circumstances in his past and it is heartbreaking.
Truly was the perfect young person, in my opinion. I really liked the choices that Misty made with her personality. They fit her not just because of her age but also because of her upbringing and circumstance. There may be times when she comes across as childish or maybe immature, but those times are few and they actually fit perfectly.
Truly has been Will’s saving grace since he could remember. Will couldn’t save her father so he’ll be damned if he won’t burn down the world to save Truly. That’s their story in a nutshell with exceptional chemistry, winding twist and turns and a whole heap of hope.
My favorite part of a Misty story is how real they are. She is always respectful of the subject and never hides the dark edges of life and or society. Her characters may not always be relatable to everyone reading, but they most definitely are realistic. She writes the good, the bad and everything in between of life and people. If you’re not reading her words …. *side-eye*

I know that mafia stories have an inherent plot that is suspenseful with storylines full of drama and lies and twists and whatnot but this story was epically extra in all the right ways! Matteo and Heaven sparked off the pages from the get-go and the storyline built on that spark. It was an all-consuming read for me. I could not put it down.
I picked out this book because I’m on a mafia romance kick lately and it has completely sold me on Kristen Luciani, a new-to-me author with this book. From the well thought out plot to the growth of the characters to the chemistry and drama and twists and just overall dynamics of the entire story, it was all a 5-STAR experience for me and I cannot wait to dive into this author’s backlist soon!

This is not a sexually driven story, which is what I gravitate towards with my MM reads, but instead focuses on growth and friendship bonds in a relationship. It’s amazingly well thought out. It’s a journey of self-discovery more than a romance journey but obviously there is a romance happening. It was just such a great story about friendship and acceptance at an age where it is most important to forge the right mindset about anything, not just your sexuality. I cannot recommend this story enough!

I enjoyed the spark between Ainsley and Chase. It was more than a sexual spark; their story had spark and as individuals they had spark. The spark made the story that much more interesting and quite frankly, unputdownable. I read the book cover to cover in one sitting and that’s pretty rare for me. I liked the storyline as well, It read realistically and relatable to an office romance. Overall, I’d have to say well done!

I think tMy first time reading this author’s work and I am super impressed. She wrote an incredible story full of emotion but not too dark or angsty. I think the better word might be drama fueled with a whole lot of heart. There are circumstances in the book that are not just heavy but also thought provoking, especially from Shana’s character. She’s one you might need a bit to get used to, but she’ll grow on you, trust me. Now Nathan is an easy one to fall for. They are complete opposites, but you know what they say about opposites …
I liked that the story dealt with relatable everyday problems that could easily have turned this book into a dark, angsty spiral but the author didn’t let it happen. There’s a balance to the story where you don’t even feel the heaviness when you read it but know its there! There are quite a few plot points happening in this story and there might be times when it all seems too much but it comes together nicely. Exceptional writing. Props to Amélie S. Duncan. Well done!

Now, about this story … Penn and Campbell are fire, so much so that they catapulted to Deacon/Quinn level quick! I know most of you don’t know what that means, but trust me, it’s good! These two were a pleasure to read because they pushed each other to do better and be better. They were kismet in every possible way and their journey of sass and arrogance, with passion and emotion, was the greatest ping-pong (that’s just my term of for two alpha leads) story I have read in a very long time. Again, these two were fire and this author duo has exceeded my expectations not only with this story but this series. This book marks the end of the boys in Chicago, but it does not mark the end of this author duo :)
Lastly, I’d like to make a note about some of the plot points in this story. This is not just a story about two people that on the surface it seems like they might kill each other but deep down they’re so attracted to each other they don’t even know what to do with that attraction. Far from it. There are life circumstances happening in this book that were represented respectfully and with due process and consideration and they hit home for me. So, I’d like to thank both authors for making sure they got it right :)...more
MAN, this story grabbed a hold of me from pretty much the beginning and did not let go, not even when I finished! Love and hate; hate and love; two siMAN, this story grabbed a hold of me from pretty much the beginning and did not let go, not even when I finished! Love and hate; hate and love; two sides of one coin. They both live inside of us; both easily flipped. People always say there’s a fine line between the two; I say there is no line, just two emotions in constant motion inside of all of us. We make choices every day that define which one will shine brighter but they are both always lurking.
I’m not the reviewer that gives away plot points, but there are a few things I want to mention about this book because they were so spectacularly done.
Annabelle and Jacob. You’re going to love them. You’re going to root for them. You’re going to get mad at them. You’re going to celebrate them. You’re going to do all the things! Because they deserve it. Carrie Ann Ryan wrote two relatable and realistic flawed people I pictured myself being friends with. As I was reading, I felt their pull. This is always a hard concept for me to review about because it’s one of those things about a book that is almost impossible to convey without examples and examples lead to plot retelling and we all know how I feel about that so … You’ll just have to trust me when I tell you, I just want to be in their circle!
When you read the blurb of this book, you’re not even going to get a tenth of what is actually going to happen within these pages. I was surprised, not with the depth of emotion the story had because I know this author fairly well and know she is damn good at her craft, but the angles, or rather branches, the story took on. Not surprised in a bad way but surprised in an awed kinda way. Annabelle and Jacob already come with built-in baggage to overcome and adding to that outside influences and or problems could have gone sideways fast, but it never did. It could have read overly dramatic, but it did not. Everything fit exactly as it should have.
I really love that my experience with this story was so great because the Montgomery Ink stories have taken a back seat in my reading life for a few years now because, reasons, but now I am ready to move full steam ahead and back! :)

There's not going to be much more about this story in my review. I'm only adding now (release day) these couple of thoughts hoping against hope that this is the first and only review you see. Look at the rating if you must, but go in blind. There is already so many details out there that I want to cry. Go in blind. I am begging you. BLIND. You will thank me. #betme
I've already mentioned the thing I love most about this story, so now I'll tell you the second, then I'm shutting up. Go in BLIND!! There are a lot of moving parts in this journey. One might think maybe too many. One might be wrong. Every single moving part in this journey was a means to an end but not every part gets wrapped up in a neat box with a bow. And some of the parts that seem to be wrapped up maybe have see-thru wrapping...
It's because of all the moving parts that you should go in BLIND. This story was more than a love story; more than just a story period. It was an experience. You will feel things; not always good things, but things nonetheless. It will hurt. It will exhilarate. It will captivate. It will do all the things and then some. It will surprise you. Ya'll ... it is not often I am vested to this degree. I WAS VESTED! I love that it happened but I hate what happened, however, that's a conversation for another day because ... BLIND! #trust...more

II’m an age-gap junkie so of course I jumped at the chance at reading this story as part of the blog tour for book 3 in this series, King’s Treasure. I just met this author’s writing no more than about 5 or 6 months ago so I don’t have a whole lot of experience with her writing but what I do have has been really great and so far, the first three King books are following that same path!
I enjoyed Gentry and Kendall’s journey even though it was drama fueled, and when I say drama, I mean DRAMA. It came from all sides. And you know what? I was okay with all of it because it was expected. This particular story needs the drama in order to be an effective, well thought out plot. So props to Marie Johnston for accomplishing that with me rolling my eyes or wanting to stab someone. Okay, it’s possible I maaaay have wanted to stab one or two people along the way but maybe just like a shallow stab LOL There are already a ton of reviews that in my opinion give away too many plot points of the story so I’m not going into any more detail than that. I just wanted to make the point sometimes, soap opera (ish) storylines are necessary for not just the story to make sense, but also to set up future books. Okay, that’s it on that. Let’s move on.
So Gentry and Kendall were a great match as far as I’m concerned. They may have had a rather sizeable age-gap, but Kendall was all grown up before it was time for her to even be a grown-up. Life circumstances made sure she matured rather quickly, which matured her past her age. I felt their connection in the story and I loved their chemistry!

I’ve only read a handful of books by this author but so far they have all been a pleasurable experience. I spent a weekend with these three Kings and I have zero regrets!
If you’ve read Gentry’s story, then you already know about the craziness and hoops the Kings have to jump thru for their inheritance. It’s not a new storyline for me as I read like 400 to 500 books year, so I’ve run into this a time or two. Even tho it’s not anything new, I still found this story refreshing and I think it’s mainly from the characters. Since I literally finished the first book mere hours before beginning this one, all the drama hoopla was fresh in my mind and I just needed to see what kind of new shenanigans the author could come up with for Beckett’s story.
I can’t say that I liked Beckett’s story as much as I did his father’s, but I still enjoyed the heck out of it. I liked Eva a lot and Beckett, of course, but Eva probably a bit more. Their story dragged a bit for me in some places, but I think that’s mainly because I just wanted to see how all the secrets would unfold and what would happen then. All in all, the story is believable and relatable and the characters are ones you’ll root for.

PSA: It is my humble opinion that you should read this series from the beginning. Technically, each book can stand on its own, but the Scorned Women’s Society are a group of women born from a shared circumstance in their past; they’re all Jethro Winston’s ex-girlfriends. They are a click. They stick together and are there for each other in all the ways. They are in each other’s lives, therefor each other’s stories so … do with that info what you will.
Now, about this incredibly poignant story full of heart and hope. A slow-burn journey sexier and more passionate than any other I have read in quite some time. The interactions between Roxy and Sanders as they navigate their journey made my heart soar. They both have their own history and personal baggage to navigate in order to move forward with each other and it is because of each other that they are able to move forward. Two pieces of a puzzle that perfectly fit. One without the other would be an incomplete puzzle. GAH, I loved every moment of this story. I wanted to me in it and I wanted them as part of my life!
Sidebar: These covers are a thing of beauty and I hope against hope that Piper doesn't decide to change them one day! #winning

This is probably more of a me thing than anything else, but if the couple in the book spends more time than not in a state of unrest, how am I to believe in their HEA when it just pretty much materializes?
Listen, this book, it wasn’t bad, so I’m not going to pick it apart and detail every single plot point. That’s just dumb. But overall, I was a frustrated reader *shrug* That's it. That's all I have. ...more

Going into this journey I was already familiar with Holt and Harmony’s chemistry. If you read the Team Player 2 anthology, you should be too, but that’s not important. What’s important is that I didn’t have to wait more than a page or two before I was all in with these two and the short novella that I had read in the anthology came flooding back to me! I loved these two something fierce and I also loved the choices Meghan made for their journey. It’s rare for me to be this close to 100% on board with everything happening in a book, but I was, and it was thrilling!

I know that Meghan is known for romantic comedies but this journey wasn’t all laughs. Obviously, all romance journeys have some sort of conflict that couple has to get past but, yeah, I wasn’t ready! You’ve been warned lol A perfect blend of laughter and a little ugly cry, this story is sure to please all romance fiction readers. The unfolding of the plot and progression of the relationship between Harmony and Holt was so relatable that I felt I could be their friend (okay, like 99% of the time cuz ya’ll know these new adult kids can be make me want to drive an icepick in my eye at times lol). Another hit (no pun intended) for Meghan Quinn! Well done!
