Heartfelt, endearing, and romantic, My True Love is such a lovely read. The juxtaposition of Jules’s spunkiness and Grant’s hard-headedness makes it fun for readers to watch for their genuine love story unfold.
The emotional build-up and watching as the main characters push and pull with each other, and with themselves is outstanding. Melissa pulls the reader in and holds on from the first page. The way she writes about the challenges that Grant has endured and how Jules brings him out from inside his head is so moving.
If you read one new book this month, make it My True Love. It is a touching, emotional experience. I cannot wait to read more from The Steeles at Silver Island....more

Ash and Annie’s story has so many ins and outs, trials, and twists that you will be on the edge of your seat from Chapter One. The way RVD writes their story is incredible – it is most definitely a roller coaster ride and you’ll want to prepare by grabbing a glass of wine or even the entire bottle.
Grief is a powerful thing, and the way Ash’s grief and anger leap off the page makes this newest RVD novel a must-read. If you’ve experienced a loss, you will understand the depth of Ash’s pain and how he copes with that pain. Although Ash may come from a powerful family and is powerful in his own right, the pain is searing and hard to come back from.
Watching him fight his way out the other side, so to speak, is a beautiful and emotional journey. Once again, RVD throws some major plot twists inside their love story – some you may see coming and others will have your jaw dropping to the floor.
Don’t worry that Destructive King will be too sad, there are also moments of levity and humor. It’s always a treat to read the mafia gathering scenes, such as the large family dinners – including food, knives, guns, wine.
Rachel Van Dyken has done it again - she's written a hard-fought love story that keeps you hooked from beginning to end. ...more
Get ready for a wild ride! The combination of M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken together brings out the best of both authors. MAFIA CASANOVA i4.5 Stars
Get ready for a wild ride! The combination of M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken together brings out the best of both authors. MAFIA CASANOVA is a complete stand-alone, but there are Easter eggs hidden throughout for long-time RVD readers.
Filled with strong, willful characters and a cute as hell kid, this story is one that will stay with me for a while. There are some dark scenes because, this is the mafia, but it is such a wonderful novel.
Romeo is our unlikely hero, in that he’s known as the mafia’s casanova for a reason. Eden is strong but sometimes naïve; there were moments I didn’t connect with her character, but ultimately felt her flaws were necessary for the storyline.
Overall, MAFIA CASANOVA by M. Robinson and Rachel Van Dyken is the perfect winter read. Snuggle up with a blanket, a glass of wine, and this book. You will be hooked from the first page!
