Lucy Beckett is one sassy, quirky, and fun character. She has made some mistakes but is more than happy to take responsibility for them and has a plan to make her situation better. I like that she is a go-getter, not afraid to get her hands dirty and work hard to achieve her dreams.
Jamie Molloy has a troubled past that haunts him, making him terribly unhappy and stuck in a rut. In saying that though, Jamie is loyal to his friends and family. The one everyone can rely on and trust. The problem is he is so busy trying to please everyone else he has lost his way and has no time for his own dreams.
Lucy and Jamie when together create an electric spark. The angst between them the very kindling that ignites the flame. Their journey is not an easy one but it's heartfelt and real.
Jasmine has brought us another great story in the Holbrook Series. I can't wait to see what she has for us next. ...more

THE STORY Lorne Cassidy returns home from prison early to discover Raina, the girlfriend of his enemy in his bed. As he struggles to adjust to life outside of prison and regain his life back, he learns some disturbing truths behind Raina’s relationship with Jake and Jarret's father.
Raina has a silent understanding that calms Lorne’s broken soul because she too has been broken. But whilst Raina may soothe his soul at the same time she sets a spark inside of him that threatens to burn his heart. [image]
MY THOUGHTS This is book 3 and the final in this simply addictive series. The chemistry is instant between Lorne and Raina with makes for some hot and fiery moments. I hope you like a slow burn!
Raina is not your typical good girl virgin heroine, she has major baggage, but she is tough, determined and quirky and I really enjoyed reading the Native American part in this story.
Lorne’s character is broody and fiercely protective, there is an extremely sexy side to his darkness and dominance but underneath that tough exterior he is gentle, caring and loyal.
I love the strong sense of brotherhood /family in this series. Each book in the series gives us another perspective of the tragic event that occurred in Book #1 with Conner as we see the ripple effect it had on all their lives.
There is something almost lyrical about Pam Godwin’s writing, the words flow seamlessly into the one another creating a beautiful and memorable story.

Narrated by: Emma Wilder, Aiden Snow Length: 9 hrs and 10 mins
I love Duet narrations, when done well and matched good with their characters it adds so much more depth to a story, breathing life into its characters adding real personality and charisma.
This is a long one but well worth it, Aiden was the perfect Lorne with his deep southern sexy growl and Emma Wilder's performance is always exceptional.

Waiting for You by Jasmine Stevens GENRE: Australian Rural Romance NARRATION: Narrative BOOK DETAILS: Can be read as a Standalone but it is book#1 In the Holbrook Series RELEASE DATE: 5th Feb 2019
MY REVIEW: Waiting For You is a warm hearted romance set in rural Australia. Two childhood friends torn apart by tragedy reunited years later as adults.
Charlotte Denver is a journalist in Sydney, the magazine she works for is sponsoring her to renovate her childhood home in Holbrook as a feature article. When Charlotte discovers the editor has booked her old childhood best friend Will Beckett to help her complete the renovations, she must come face to face with all the pain from her tragic past that she so desperately tried to hide from all these years.
18 long years may have passed, but the connection Will and Charlotte shared as kids still burns strong and Will is determined to convince Charlotte to not only to forgive him and become his friend again but to also prove to her they are meant to be together.
Will is a real country man, hardworking, humble and content with the small things in life. If the vision of him on the cover isn't enough to get you hand fanning your face than his witty country charm sure will.
Charlotte is one of those heroines you yell at whilst reading. She's so damn stubborn and proud at times you can't help but get annoyed with her, and that's exactly what makes this book so great. The characters feel so real, so raw, so human. We see Charlotte grow emotionally as she learns to let her walls down slowly and let people get close to her.
This is a story about love and loss. Friendship and forgiveness, healing and guilt but most importantly it's about learning to let go of the past and giving yourself permission to find joy and love in your life after so much pain.
I read this book in the one sitting, it’s a page turner, tear jerker, nail biter, slow burn friends to lover’s romance. the characters are very well developed, and the storyline flowed smoothly. It will have you laughing out loud and holding onto your heart.
I give Waiting for You 5 blushing Stars.
This may be Jasmine Stevens debut novel, but she writes like a well-seasoned author, captivating her audience with her lovable characters and memorable moments, I LOVED this book and look forward to more from this author.

GENRE: Dark Cowboy Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: TRAILS OF SIN series (must be read in order): Knotted #1 [image] Buckled by Pam Godwin
GENRE: Dark Cowboy Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: TRAILS OF SIN series (must be read in order): Knotted #1 - Jake and Conor Buckled #2 - Jarret and Maybe Booted #3 - Lorne and Raina AUDIO AVAILABLE? No
THE STORY: This is the second book in Pam Goodwin’s ‘Trails of Sin’ series. Although they each have their own HEA they must be read in order to understand and follow the storyline.
Jarret and Maybe first met in Book#1 Knotted were we got a sneak peek into the start of their sizzling story when Jake walked in on Jarret whipping the mysterious blonde reporter with a riding crop whilst tied half naked to a post in the barn.
Maybe wants answers and Jarret wants to give them to her, only he wants to trade secrets beneath the sheets of his bed.
Jarret knows Maybe has secrets of her own and he plans on getting the truth from her eventually. He first has to gain her trust and that will not be an easy task. Life on the cattle farm is about to get a new sort of busy when Jarret shows Maybe actions sometimes speak louder than words.
She’s my serenity and my fire, my first and last breath. Lying beside her is my favorite place, and for the rest of my life and into the next, she’s all mine.

MY THOUGHTS: Pam has a magical way with her words, captivating her audience with brilliant storytelling and lovable characters. I was enraptured in the story from beginning to end.
Jarret’s character is intense and dominating but so damn hot. He is as equally determined as he is passionate towards Maybe which makes it one hot and sexy build up between the two. The chemistry between them is like a ferocious brewing storm. I loved the use of witty humour throughout the story, you cannot help but to fall in love with Jarret, Jake & Conor’s unbreakable and everlasting bond of love, loyalty and friendship.
Maybe was a strong willed and stubborn heroine, I liked the fight in her, she didn’t want to appear weak and was prepared to take full responsibility for her mistakes, Hats of to her or should I say Steeton’s of to her.
This is one of those stories that has you smiling one minute and frowning the next, it will pull on your nerves, rattle your bones and soften your heart. I’m hooked on the Cowboy’s at Julep Ranch.
This lost half a star because I didn’t like the amount of time Jarret's and Maybe stayed apart from one another, I think it took way too long for Maybe to find her way back home.
I simply cannot wait for Lorne and Raina story in Booted I am almost certain it’s going to be the darkest story of the three!
MY RATINGS: (All ratings are out of 5) HERO RATING:5 HEROINE RATING:4 BLUSH RATING: 4 ROMANCE RATING:4 PLOT RATING: 4.5 OVERALL: 4.5 Blushing Stars

Knotted by Pam Godwin GENRE: Dark Cowboy Romance NARRATION: Dual POV BOOK DETAILS: TRAILS OF SIN series (must be read in order): Knotted #1 - Jake and Conor Buckled #2 - Jarret and Maybe Booted #3 - Lorne and Raina AUDIO AVAILABLE? No
THE STORY: This is the first book in Pam Goodwin’s ‘Trails of Sin’ series. Although they each have their own HEA they must be read in order to understand and follow the storyline.
Knotted starts with Jake and Coner Cassidy, childhood sweethearts and soul mates, they grew up together living on their parent cattle ranch but at sixteen a devastating and heartbreaking incident steals away their innocence and they are torn apart.
Years later they are reunited to fulfil a pact they had made all those years ago, but before they can move forward to the future they must address the ghosts of their past. Forgiveness isn’t easy to give when you don’t understand the motive by someone’s actions.
When Conor finds out the truth that has kept her away from Jake all this time will she be able to handle the answers and face her demons? Can love survive such a tragedy?

MY THOUGHTS: Once again Pam Godwin captivated me with her brilliant storytelling, she has a writing style that lure’s me in every time, intriguing me with its mystery and originality. No two books, phrases or characters are similar they each have their own unique identity.
Unlike anything I have read before as I typically am not a Country Cowboy kind of girl I loved the setting of this story. Pam created a canvas of rural beauty and made her characters authentic to their environment.
Pam was very respectful in her storytelling of a tragic event and describes the victim’s feelings so raw and profound it gave me chills. The physiological aspects were well researched and gave a good insight into the affects and challenges one faces after such a traumatic event. This would have been well researched.
The truth remains hidden right up to the end, keeping you guessing and suspecting. The story is well paced and has all the love, hurt, angst, sex and emotions you want from a good book. I could not put this down; I was hooked from beginning to end.
This is a tragic love story about regret, revenge, greed, heartbreak and healing. The strong and supportive Secondary characters of Jarret & Lorne will get their own stories in the next two books which I can’t wait to get my hands on!
Warning: This book may cause triggers for those who have been victims of rape and domestic violence.
