I waited impatiently for the release of this book, mostly because I knew it would be a ripper read. Ms McKellar has a special way with words and, for me, this is her best book yet. Heart-wrenching emotion in a story weaved around two deeply injured lead characters, Amie and Jeremy find their way back to living and loving by teaching each other to breathe. Well-drawn characters, great dialogue and bittersweet romance make this a beautiful read. Through all the challenges that face them, they grow stronger together as they face their fears, and the past, head on. A wonderfully crafted romance that brought a tear to my eye and touched my heart....more

I made Having read and enjoyed Blood Tree River, I couldn't wait to get my hands on Devil's Lair. As psychological thrillers go, this one is a doozy. I made a point of not reading it before bedtime. Twists and turns in the plot keep you on the edge of your seat right up until the most engaging and breath-stealing finale I've yet to read in a suspense thriller. Just when you think you've got it all figured out, Ms Barrie throws the reader right back into the raging river of evil intrigue and mystery. Add a little black magic, a truly evil villain, a few red herrings and a whole crew of damaged and twisted minds, and this is a read that will give you nightmares. Well worth the read....more

Add to that a feisty princess with a secret, and you have a winning read in your hands. Ms Ash takes romance, adds family, a little spice and secondary characters whose stories I can't wait to read, and then boots this book to a whole new level of awesome. Funny, quirky and emotional, I alternately laughed and cried all the way to the end. Some truly witty one-liners and strong brotherly and friendship bonds made me wish the next book was already waiting for me to read....more

How these two heal each other and the children they work with is a true reflection of Ms Dailey's expertise authorship and will have you falling head-over-heels in love. Despite the title, there is nothing dirty about this book at all. The intimate scenes are handled tenderly and the relationship between the main characters is engaging, funny and warm all at once. While there is a gritty side to the rock scene, these two lovers are faced with more serious issues off the stage. And how Ms Rogers brings them to the HEA is worth the read. There we meet the spirited Indy, a girl who doesn't take life lying down, and British soldier, Will. Sasha PiMs Rogers delivers a disturbing story of bullying and anti-social schoolyard behaviour in this tale of two worlds that victims can relate to. Sasha Pierce is bullied to the point of self-harm and contemplating suicide when an incident catapults her into a parallel world and a whole new nightmare. Where her real world persona is a girl beaten down by life, her Planalto persona is a kickass bodyguard in an instution called The Primary. But Sasha Rodriguez's life is no play in the park either. It's here that Sasha faces the fight of her life that will change the way she does things back in her real world. Fans of the Hunger Games will relate to this plot. This is not a pretty fairytale. It's a raw and confronting struggle for survival in a world exposed and incited by social media. It's a parallel universe run by narcissists and bullies who hide behind rank and manipulation. Most of all, it's a story that will have you questioning humanity and the long term effects of social media. Not a read for the faint-hearted. ...more

D'alton and Page smash it out of the ballpark with this story. The machinery, medical procedures, materials used, descriptions and settings were well created and delivered imagery that made scenes jump off the page and feel real.
