The blog post was a great start, but I never kept up with the discipline to continue to pray using Scripture. Now that I've read this book, and followed the author's direction in chapter 7 I believe, I stopped reading, selected a Psalm according to the day (2 February) and I read and prayed for 7 minutes using Psalm 32:1-3 and what a difference that time of prayer was using Scripture to help guide me in what to say and how thankful I am that God has forgiven me and that my sin is covered by the blood of Jesus Christ. What a blessing it is, this gift that God has given to me, what He has done for me, to forgive me and not charge my sin against me and that I've been completely honest about it too. God knows if I'm being deceitful about it too, so I can't hide it either. He knows and sees all things anyway!
During my short time as a pastor, I've know people who have had some difficulty praying substantively, or feeling that their prayers were so dry and weren't reaching further than the room they were in, but they did believe that God heard them though. How often is it too that a person prays the same things about the same things and it never changes. This book will change that and breathe new life into your prayer life.
This is a great book and I'm glad I finally read it, and certainly wish that I had read it MUCH SOONER. Now, even through my daily bible reading plan, I'm aware of how I can pray using various verses, or passages from Scripture, to help me have a prayer life where I feel much more closer to God than I have before. ...more

I know tThis was a great book to read to learn how investing in multifamily real estate can become a great way of building a strong financial future. I know the title of the book has the words "Financial Freedom" in it and that's different for everyone concerning what that exactly looks like for them. For some, it could be earning $70,000 per year in passive income, for others it might be earning $70,000 per month. So, it's important for an aspiring multifamily real estate investor/entrepreneur to know what their "Rat Race" number is and work toward achieving that goal.
Michael writes in such a way that definitely makes the reader to feel confident and encouraged that it is entirely possible to accelerate building wealth through multifamily real estate within a few years, if done properly. It's certainly not get rich quick at all. There's no way that could possibly occur, in my opinion.
I read this on my Kindle, but this is a book that I'll want to have a physical copy of, to refer to as often as needed.
Anyone who is interested in multifamily real estate as an investment for themselves should definitely read this book and continue to learn more about this aspect of real estate investing and get a good education about it too.
Now, it's time to get started on getting the first deal done....more

This was a good book about real estate investing by someone who was from Australia and came to the U.S. Reed Goossens' experience is an example to anyone who is new to real estate investing that it can be done, with or without money and especially if you're from a foreign country and want to take advantage of the American Dream.
I felt though that the book was geared more for someone who is a foreigner, looking to understand how investing in real estate is possible as a foreigner in America, and how it can be executed in a profitable manner.
If I had seen this book on a bookshelf at Barnes & Noble, a local used bookstore, or Amazon, I would likely not have purchased it simply because the title is about investing in the U.S., and I already live here. If I were from another country planning to move to the U.S. and wanted to know about investing in real estate in the U.S., then I would possibly buy this book.
Overall, it was a good book and I'm thankful for reading about Reed's experience and success as a real estate investor....more

Brandon has written this book for anyone who has been curious, or misunderstood about how to purchase a property with using either none of your own money, or some of it of your own, or more of it from someone else. There were strategies that I've heard of before but never quite understood it well enough until reading this book. I will admit that I'm not 100% comfortable yet with utilizing these types of strategies such as seller financing, lease-option, or a Master Lease Option, but I can definitely see how these are utilized in the right way create a win-win-win situation for everyone.
I received a copy of this book as a Pro Member Perk with BiggerPockets and I'd highly recommend the Pro Membership with BiggerPockets too.
As I read this book (rather quickly, finishing it in about 5 days), I felt as if Brandon and I were sitting in a living room and he was basically telling me how to invest in real estate with no and low money down. Nothing was too over the top, nor was there anything that was simplified too much.
One of the great things that I've heard Brandon say a lot on the podcast, and David Greene too is that it's good to have a few tools in your toolbox/toolbelt to use so that you're not limited in your ability to invest in real estate and become profitable too.
This book is a resource to refer to every so often and I'm glad that it was written for a new investor like myself.

ThI have often heard Proverbs 22:6 quoted, but I have never heard, to the best of my knowledge such an exposition as this in this short book (essay). There is so much insight given by J.C. Ryle regarding this verse and the immense responsibility parents have as stewards of the gift that children are from God. I have been especially impacted by the question that Ryle states concerning all that is done regarding my responsibility as a father, as one who is to teach my sons how to follow the Lord, "How will this affect their souls?" How will my love for God affect their souls to love God too? How will my discipline toward them affect their souls to understand God's discipline in the things they do in disobedience? How will my example of faith in God affect their souls to place their faith in God as well?
This book has impacted me more than I could ever have imagined and while I know that I am doing my best to be a good father in leading my children, I understand now how much better I need to be, in teaching and training my children in the knowledge of God and to live in a manner that pleases Him too. If it's my aim to know the Lord better on a daily basis and to live for Him in greater obedience, I must teach my children the same. I cannot just allow myself to think they will observe my ways and follow my example without my dutiful diligence of teaching them how.
I have highlighted probably nearly 80% of this book and it will be a book that I will want to read often throughout the year, to keep my heart and mind afresh concerning the instructions given.
The minutes, hours and days I have with them may be many and they must be used wisely and for their profit and those days must be accumulated into years of discipleship training for their lifetime when they go and live as adults in the world....more

The book gave me a small perspective of his life with several great quotes to remember for my life, work and family.
I was disappointed though with quite a few grammatical and spelling errors throughout the book and wonder why the book wasn't proofread better before publishing, even as an ebook. The author should do better to make sure spelling and grammar are correct before publishing and if it is possible, review his past published books and correct any grammar and spelling errors....more

It's completely the opposite of what I remember being taught about how to be a salesperson, which was simply cold calling and asking for an appointment with a cold prospect.
This book teaches how to make a cold call a warm call and how to make an Up-Front Contract with the person you're speaking to, so that you can find out quickly if there is an opportunity for a further discussion, and using an Up-Front Contract is critical when having that conversation.
By mastering these techniques through diligent practice, I believe there can be a significant impact upon a salesperson's performance that will ultimately result in greater sales and building a greater network of clients who are comfortably willing to introduce you to others.
