“He may seem like he’s no good for me—that he’s bad for me—but when we’re alone, all I receive from him is the good.”
This was my first Shanora book, and boy oh boy what a ride! I haven’t read many MC romances, but I loved this one! I freakin loved Nova! She is my kind of heroine. She’s a real bad ass that’s had to survive while taking care of her brother so she doesn’t take any sh*t from anyone, not even the President of the most prestigious biker gang in town. Wolf was everything, and I love how Nova unwrapped his hard, rough layers getting to the goodness within him. Only she could do that.
So many twists, turns and action. What I loved most of all was the love story. I love it when two people have all of their walls and defenses broken down, and are stripped bare before each other. They’re each other’s peace and safe place. That is Nova and Wolf....more

I loved meeting my girl, Grace at the tender age of 18 before all the chaos went down, or as it was going down I should say. Loved her bumping into a younger Miller in high school, and the fact that his amazing art work caught Grace’s eye. We get insight as to why Ruby spiraled down the way she did, compared to the tremendous strength that Grace had and showed throughout this novella. And then we get those few sprinkles of Dig..the man under the shades. My heart will always belong to him. Love all of these books so much!!...more
I don’t know how I’m going to write this review, but I’ll try through all these snotty tears. I keep5 cold chow mein stars for Someday, Someday!
I don’t know how I’m going to write this review, but I’ll try through all these snotty tears. I keep rubbing my chest trying to ease the ache. Once again Emma, you’ve left your imprint on my heart, and I now know that you have a gift.
When I read Emma’s books it’s much more than just a romance read, but a life changing, heart altering experience. This was my first ever M/M romance, but it was so much more than that. I feel like Emma reached down into my soul, and gave me an education. She literally allowed me to see and feel what it’s like to walk in the shoes of a gay man, and the horribleness of what some go through in their lives.
I just want to wrap Max and Silas in my arms, and just love on them forever. Both of them have two entirely different stories, but in a way similar. Both of them horrendous in how they were treated by the ones that’s supposed to love them the most. Silas, being sent to a horrible ghost town in Alaska for 6 months to “reprogram” him, but what they did was the most disgusting abuse. I didn’t even know these places existed, and that’s what I love about Emma—she educates.
“Braun and his counselors broke something in me; ground me down to the basement of my soul. Taught me to hate all that I was and all that I wanted, then made that hate survival. Lust or desire for anyone was dangerous.”
Conversion therapy, torture, brutality, almost killing these boys..just the thought of all this makes my stomach turn.
“The scars the enemies inflicted were miles deep, and what had been done to him, still had power.”
I don’t want to give anything away, but I would urge all to please read this beautiful book. I got so absorbed in it, and I know it will take me days to process.
This book is about the healing power of love. Emma said it best, and I’ll quote:
“It’s more natural to be happy than to hold on to hate.”
This book was my first Katie Ashley book, and it was so delightfully good!! Right off the bat this story threw me for a loop for reasons I4.5 stars!

Love being in GreenValley of course, and as all the other SPR authors have done such an amazing job in bringing those Penny feels, Katie delivers awesomeness as well.
I fell in love with Zeke. He was just plum amazin’, and Perfect! I love that he was heavy into Cosplay, and such a sexy nerd. Love the romance between him and Finely. So many elements in this story that I loved! I hope you love it as much as I did. I can’t wait to read more of this author!!...more

I’m such a sucker for a single dad romance, and boy did Lorelei deliver! Street was just so good and true. A real cinnamon roll hero, but as with all of Lorelei’s men, they have that delicious side of sexiness, and they know how to use it to turn their women out in the bedroom!! Have mercy! I did struggle with the first half of the story, but in hindsight I’m able to see how it was necessary in explaining Bailey’s reluctance or reservations. That girl had some secrets that had to be unlocked, and Lorelei brought them about perfectly. As always, no spoilers from me, just read this amazing book!...more

Give me a darker Devney anyday! This was a fantastic read! Gypsy King was full of mystery, intrigue, suspense and steamy romance. I love the instant chemistry between Bryce & Dash. That push pull that happens when you are trying to fight so bad what your body craves...that kind of chemistry. I look forward to book two, and seeing where Devney goes with this story. She’s off to a great start!!
“All the foolish days and nights I’d spent wondering if I’d end up an old maid had been for nothing. The timing simply hadn’t come together. I’d been waiting for my Gypsy King.”

I mean, who doesn’t love a silver fox, rebellious biker and a single dad to boot. He was absolutely wonderful. 18 years worth of unrequited type of love between him and Naomi. I absolutely love the setting of New Orleans for this story. It created the perfect backdrop for ghosts, mystery, suspense and all things paranormal. I absolutely loved the three sisters, and the bond they shared. They each had different “powers”, but worked together in harmony. Loved Cash, and the protectiveness he felt instantly over Brielle. Why on earth is this my first Catherine Cowles book! I met this beauty at Book Bonanza, and she was kind enough to send me an ARC..I literally devoured this. Tuck and Jensen, and their best friends to lovers romance was just what I needed. I love a single mom that falls for her brother’s best friend.
This story had everything:
The perfect amount of tension, both sexual and warring against what was undeniable between them. Tuck, a bit of a playboy, no longer wanted that life, but warred with the uncertainty that he was right for Jensen. Jensen, a broken single mom, who had given up on love for herself, was totally focused on raising her son alone. I don’t want to spoil anything, but this story had it all. Romance, suspense, a mystery/thriller element and full on S-T-E-A-M.

This was my first Nora Everly book, and I just love it when an author surprises me. As always, it feels so good to be back in Penny’s world of Green Valley, and these authors nail that particular writing. Very well done! I’m a sucker for a single parent romance, and in this book it gave me that x2! You have to read the book to find out all those details because this girl doesn’t like to give anything away.
What happens when a shy librarian who just happens to be a virgin, and a handsome sexy sheriff collide? You get magic. There were so many swoony parts that gave my stomach butterfly kisses. I also love the children in this book. They were the breakout stars indeed. Jackson James is in here a lot, and it got me so excited for his book that is to come.
I’m so wrapped up in Green Valley right now I may never come home! Very well done!...more

I assume you’ve never been a woman—” he smiled at that, which let some of the tension seep out of his features “—and you appear to be in possession of all of your limbs, while I have no idea what it’s like to be black in America, nor how an English Jamaican Nigerian man navigates a landscape full of assumptions that have nothing to do with who he actually is.”
To say I loved this story would be an understatement. I’m still processing it all at 2am, my brain is trying to catch up with my heart. If you love interracial romance with suspense, mystery and full on action, then this story is for you. Not to mention a delicious slow burn full of underlying sexual tension that explodes into something more beautiful than words can do justice, but April did such a stellar job of doing.
First of all, writing a black man with all the complexities, struggles and racism that is faced on a daily basis, I feel the author did extremely well and with such care and accuracy. I appreciate the obvious research that she did which was very evident in the flawless way she wrote Gabriel’s character. I truly love him. His fierce loyalty, protectiveness and love for Shane fills my soul.
I love strong, bad ass, take no sh*t heroines. Now, add one with a prosthetic leg, and multiply fierce warrior x10, and you have Shane. She is a private investigator that hunts down cheaters for a living. Where Penny Reid’s world comes into play—Cipher Security, hence, where she meets Gabriel Eze. They literally run into each other and it is an instant “zing” that takes place for both of them.
If you love Penny’s Knitting in The City Series, then you will love seeing several beloved characters from those books. It’s like a big reunion, and written superbly.
I love how Gabriel got Shane to truly see herself by peeling off one layer at a time until there was just tender vulnerability and trust there. Both Gabriel and Shane seeing how they could trust in the love they had for each other was beautiful and I appreciate the journey it took them to get there.

This book totally took me by surprise, and I might’ve even shed a tear or two. K Webster is queen of taboo, but this was so much more! Daniel and Lauren are a match if I’ve ever read one.
I love, love age gaps. When I found out Daniel was 45 I clapped my hands together because I knew this would be good. What I didn’t expect was all my heart strings to be pulled because this wasn’t a sunshine and roses love story. This is about sickness, long suffering and what real love is. This is about opening your heart to take in those that are hurting and suffering around you and loving them fully with your whole heart. Lauren May have been 18, but man was she wiser beyond her years and very mature where it counted.
This story twisted me up in knots and squeezed my heart in places that needed it.
I love how Lauren summed up things.
“That’s all life is anyway. A series of moments all smashed together to make one incredible journey. Sometimes the journey is short, and other times it’s long. It doesn’t matter the duration, but how much fun you have along the way. It should be filled with love, laughter, and end with root beer floats.”
Dr. Dan is a one of a kind man and I loved him so much!
“Sometimes the best medicine isn’t anything that can be prescribed. But love can be a healer. I should know. I’m a doctor.”

This book was SO FREAKIN GOOD!! Tempest Cassidy is my shero! She gives a whole new meaning to “Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned.” and this song, that played in my head constantly while I was reading—“Before He Cheats.” This story starts off with a bang! Cheating husband, and all the crazies that come out from that after. I mean, there’s only so much a woman can take. After a few lock ups behind bars, and anger management classes, Tempest meets Cage. Cage is from Dallas, and a professional UFC fighter. After a career ending injury, he decides to pack up and head to Green Valley, TN. Man I love that place! Long time friends with Hank, owner of The Pink Pony, Cage decides to take on a change of scenery as a bouncer. Let’s just say he meets a very drunken Tempest, and the rest is history. It was instant chemistry from the get go.
I love the instant friendship that happened between them, all the while this amazing sexual tension that was written brilliantly! Jiffy Kate just kept making me hot under the collar. Cage was so patient with T. I loved seeing his baser urges coming out at times too. I mean who doesn’t want to be thrown over a man’s shoulder or get a nice ass slap now and then. Just promises of the hotness to come once T surrendered to it, and “let go and let flow.”
I absolutely loved this part:
“Running my nose along her cheek and over to her ear, I lower my voice and tell her, “In three seconds, I’m going to kiss you. If you don’t want me to, you should walk away now. No harm, no foul. However,” I pause, nipping at her ear and loving how her entire body shivers in response, “if you stay, I plan on devouring you. I have four hours until I have to be at work and I’ll spend every second worshipping your body… if you’ll let me.”
Yessss, please!! I also loved how he let T take her aggressions out on him in the best possible way.
“Take me. Take my body and get your pleasure however the f*ck you want. Clear your mind and just feel. Break yourself into a million pieces, if you need to. All I ask, is that you let me help put you back together.” That Cage is a man of his word!
I could literally go on and on, but bottom line is I want to bake all kinds of different muffins and give them names. Bravo, Jiffy Kate! Bravo!!!...more

“Not saying the stereotypes about mountain folk are true, but around here, if you’re not white, you stand out. Easier to play off of people’s assumptions than go into too much personal history about my parents.”
I knew right here from this quote that this book was going to be something special. I’m glad I wasn’t wrong. How do I even begin to write a review for this masterpiece? I love that Daisy Prescott was not afraid to write a romance story about a bi-racial Japanese man, Ranger Jay Daniels, in Knoxville TN. I loved the realness about the struggle of looking more white than his sister and mom, Due to his lighter skin and hair, but having those Asian eyes that would give him away. Having to watch his mom and sister experience such ugliness that he didn’t experience, and yet he experienced a different side of it.
This story opened up a vault of feels within my own heart as I could draw from my own life’s experiences of racism and bigotry being an AA woman, but mixed too. I can identify with Jay on never feeling like he fit and that he wasn’t Japanese enough for his Japanese family or white enough for the white people. My heart broke when he said he was just nothing.
I love Olive! I loved her determination, sass, and her personality was just perfect. I love the pull, attraction and chemistry she felt towards Ranger Jay from the start. I loved Her determination in walking the AT solo after being dumped by her narcissistic boyfriend. Getting stranded in a snowstorm and being rescued by a handsome bearded Park ranger can’t be that bad, right? And did I mention the steam? There were times when I literally shook my head from dizziness due to love/lust of the chemistry between these two, and Jay. My new book boyfriend.
I could go on and on because I’m so passionate about there being more inclusive and culturally diverse books out there. I feel like I stepped into someone’s real life story (which it is), and got an education in what a biracial Japanese man faces.
I also loved being in Penny’s world again of Green Valley TN, and seeing some very beloved faces all throughout this book. Bravo, Daisy for not being afraid to go where people fear to go and writing this book. One of my top reads of the year!!!
1. I love anything to do with Royals and I’m just so fascinated withA Royal 5 stars for this girl.
There are a few reasons why I gave this 5 stars:
1. I love anything to do with Royals and I’m just so fascinated with that whole lifestyle.
2. Arranged marriage. Yes please.
3. This story really touched on some notes from my childhood/life. I could identify with Nina and how she viewed love.
“How do you define love?” She bites her lip. “Love is when you can depend on someone to stay.”
This quote made me tear up big time because I have felt like this and was changed by my husband. Like Sebastian, he showed me what real true love is.
I loved Nina’s sass, humor and her fearlessness. So many of her parts really gripped my heart.
Now Sebastian, he was a dream from the beginning. Wanting his choice in who he married, not his dad’s so he had the perfect Montana woman in mind. What happens when London & Montana mix. You’ve got to read and find out. Had to rub my chest with this quote.
“I’ve gained her trust. One day, I hope to earn her love.”
He knew he was done for, head over heels in love early on and I loved that it was him and not her. She resisted love for as long as she could due to fear, and hurt that people caused in her life that “loved” her the most.
I could go on and on, but in a nutshell. This book was such a delight and I can’t wait to go back and read about the other characters that are in this book. Kristen Proby has a new fan!!...more
I loved so much about this book, but most of all I’ve fallen in love with Piper Sheldon’s writing. This was my first time4.5 mother clucking stars!
I loved so much about this book, but most of all I’ve fallen in love with Piper Sheldon’s writing. This was my first time reading her work, and I look forward to reading more from her. This book had everything that I enjoy in a read. I love a redeeming love story when someone doesn’t see their worth, value or their true selves. I feel like both Suzie and Ford has awakenings within themselves.
This story had action, suspense, amazing chemistry between the hero and heroine, and love that bit them both on the backside in surprise. I won’t spoil a thing, but this story was grittier than I expected, as Piper really did a great job exploring the whole shady world of stripping, and how things can get really dark. I know this is fiction, but I’ve seen too many movies and news segments to know that some of this shady stuff really happens.
I love this quote from early on that Ford had about Suzie while he was watching her pole dancing.
“I was transfixed. It wasn’t just the way she mastered the room. It wasn’t just how her choreography perfectly correlated with the entrancing music. It wasn’t just her sex appeal. It was that unwavering gaze and focus on her task. To the rest of the room, staring blatantly at her admirable—ahem—assets, she was an object, but I recognized the barely controlled passion roiling under her skin. What would it be like to be that strong? Not just physically, but strong in a way that allowed her to bare her soul to a group of greedy strangers. My passions were locked away safely inside me and yet she put it all out there. Such bravery and passion.”
I love how eventually Ford felt free enough and secure in his love for Suzie to be able to open up his vulnerabilities, demons and insecurities to her. She let out his inner baser instincts, and I always love that!...more

What a tilt-a-whirl ride!! Dylan just keeps on outdoing herself with this series! I feel like my eyes are a big puffy mess from lack of sleep, tears, and just awe of Beth and Carter. I love when the heroine and hero are both equal in strength and I feel like that is so Beth and Carter. Through it all they keep clinging to that intense love and passion they have for one another. Also, can we talk about some of these scorching sexy scenes between them. Y’all about needing to relieve pressure.

Where do I even begin to even try and formulate adequate words to convey my feelings over this book? Kennedy Ryan has created characters that I’m equally in love and lust with. This book, this duo has EVERYTHING that not only my heart needed, but what we need in America today. I love Lennix & Maxim so much that my heart longs for them as if they were real. They are real in my heart and I will cherish them forever.
Lennix was such an inspiration to me. So strong and unmovable in her convictions and stands over what she believes in, but also “compliant” when it comes to Maxim. He was her kryptonite, her undoing, and I loved it. Loved seeing her come under his spell, along with the rest of us. Those two were such a force to be reckoned with.
Maxim, the Wolf is way up there on my book boyfriend list. His passionate, protective, overbearing love for Maxim trumped over everything. She was his main concern and focus, and I loved that About him. He totally put her needs above his own. Such heat, passion, and raw lust they had for each other that made me weak in the knees and heart.
These are such top reads of the year for me. I immediately want to dive in again and reread. The bookverse needs more diverse books like this. Such an enrichment.

I love the whole process and how Alexandra worked through her demons, and the tender scene between her and Piers as she crumbled when he realized the truth. Perfection. I’m hooked on Kerrigan and I’m set to read all her masterpieces from this point on. Bravo!!! Infinite stars!

I just love a good marriage of convenience story, and You Can Have Manhattan did not disappoint. Scott Blackstone, a reformed playboy, now cowboy was broodingly perfect. He threw every hardship he could think of at Sydney after they married to make her change her mind, but my girl was tough as nails. I love how Ms. Dangelico handled her backstory of child abuse with what she endured from her gaslighting religious grandparents. You could see how those events shaped her into the tough as steel woman that she was today. I don’t want to give away too much, but the chemistry, the slowburn and sexual tension of this couple you could cut with a knife. I love how their defenses came down one by one until What they were left with, was what was..
And this quote really touched me with its truth, and I loved seeing just what kind of man Scott Blackstone really was.

"Patience is a virtue, Levi Buchanan." "And a virtue never hurt you..” My heart is a jumbled up mess of feels. This was absolutely the most perfect, slow burn best friends to lovers story that I’ve read in a long time. First of all, to be instantly teleported into Green Valley is always where I want to be. Donner’s bakery, and seeing Jennifer, Cletus and a couple new characters was simply fantastic.
Karla outdid herself with this story. The way she worded things that Levi or Joss would say, I could feel in my bones. I loved that it was the guy that had feelings and the girl was oblivious. It was very interesting to read from that POV.
“There would never be a day when I didn't wish Jocelyn would just … wake up and realize it. That one day, she'd see me differently. That she could look back on the day we met and see that I'd never wavered because the way I loved her was as constant and unyielding as the Earth rotating around the sun. Something that couldn't be stopped or prevented.
Or this one that gave my chills, chills:
“Sometimes my brain struggled to remember that we were just friends. She'd never dated, never even hinted that she wanted to. She'd never given me a longing glance. Never stared at my mouth like she wondered what it tasted like. But my hands never, not once, stopped wanting to reach for hers. My fingers always, always itched to dig into her crazy hair and see what the curve of her scalp felt like. My brain knew what this relationship was, but sometimes, the signals it sent to the rest of my body didn't always match up with the truth of our situation.”

Lucas/Jak. Just saying his name makes tears Spring up in my eyes. Never have I read a character quite like his. The hell (putting it mildly) he endured as a child, and lived through it proving that he was indeed a survivor—a wolf. I love how Mia showed the struggle he had between being a man and being the wolf he was raised to be.
Harper. What else can I say except how much I love her and the way she loved Jak was beautiful. She saw him when everyone else saw the wolf. She loved, respected and wanted every single part of him knowing she could trust him with her very life. Her story equally as tragic, but slightly different.
I said I wouldn’t try to come up with words because really no words can do Mia’s masterpiece justice. This was everything I wanted and beyond. Did I mention the passion. The lust between these two characters that was so..hot. Sensual. Chair squirming good. One scene literally made tears pour out of my face that I had to message a couple friends and just cry to them about it. I have never been hit like that before.
This is a tragically horrifying, beautiful awe inspiring story of waiting and hope, and the beauty that can come out of ghastly ashes.
I want wild. I want you. I want the wolf.

“You’re a wolf in wolf’s clothing. You’ll want everything.”
Hello Maxim Kingsman Cade. Where have you been all my life? This book..this BOOK! What an ending! I can’t even see straight. Kennedy Ryan speaks such power into her characters, and through her words. I am hooked!
I love that this story spans 14 years. So much history. Secrets, lies and Politics make a delicious tale. I will probably come back and write a proper review as I am struggling to come up with descriptions for my feels and emotions. I could feel the “Grip and Bristol” (nothing in this story is related to them) vibes strong in this story, and I can’t tell you how delighted that made me! Maxim & Lennix are so special, and the things they have to go through to be together...buckle up, people.
Kennedy Ryan, you are a genius. The way you write. The research you did into this whole Indian culture totally blew me away. This all felt so real. Of course I always love a interracial romance, and this one has so many aspects to it.
“There’s a language between our heartbeats I have no translation for—no words, just a thumping communion.”
I would say this is the perfect summation of my feels over this amazing book! I need book 2!!...more
I’m so afraid that I don’t have the proper words for a review to do this book justice. This is my first kind of bookInfinite Stars!
Totally Speechless.
I’m so afraid that I don’t have the proper words for a review to do this book justice. This is my first kind of book in this particular genre. I love fantasy, but this is beyond anything I’ve read. Norse mythology, Vikings, blood runes..I found myself looking up things and wanting to learn more. That’s the sign of an amazing storyteller and Amy Harmon has truly outdone herself with this one. I just want to stay in this world for a while.
Where do I begin..Bayr, the “temple boy” totally captured my heart. This power he has, this strength he possessed from the time he was born—he wasn’t like other boys. His weakness was his speech. He stuttered and it caused him embarrassment at times, but it made me love him more. His heart was so good, pure, protective and had such a strong love over the little Princess, Alba. The bond these two shared from the moment Bayr held her as a newborn was intrinsic. She moved, he moved. “There is no Alba without Bayr.” They were best friends. The love they shared gives me chills..So much I could say here, but for spoilers sake I will not. I’ll just urge you to read.
Dagmar and Ghost’s forbidden love story added such a marvelous element as well. They captured me from the start and I knew they were both doomed by the love they felt for each other. That old song comes to mind, “If loving you is wrong, I don’t want to be right.” I’m still in my feels over this part:
“Then his mouth brushed hers, a kiss no deeper than a raindrop, and she tightened her hands at his face, holding him to her.
“‘I cannot see, my tongue is a traitor,’” he whispered, the whispered words tickling her lips. “‘My flesh is a foe, my heart a betrayer,’ Alas, they had to guard themselves against each other, but were still best friends even though they knew what was between them. I just love this.
Amy did such a good job at building this story from the ground up. I was enraptured with the origin of this story and the background. This is all essential to understand where it’s going and I loved every single morsel.
Open your heart and mind and just feel your way through this book. I felt every emotion known to man I feel, and my heart still aches from finishing such an epic tale. I need more and I’m so glad Amy is writing more of this world because there are more stories to be told with these characters and clans. Infinite stars from me....more
