Who lives in a small village and every week he goes hunting for food in the Spine . Nobody likes this forest because they believe it is full of dark magic . One day Eragon is in the forest about to shoot a deer when a cloud of smoke appeared close by him , he missed the deer and causally went over to the smoked area. soon after the smoke went away , there laid a perfect blue stone . Eragon did not get any food that day (or meat to trade for food) but he did bring that perfect bluestone back home to try and trade for food.He tried , but failed. Soon, the stone, hatched, it wasnt a stone at all it was a dragon egg. Eragon kept on calling this dragon a male, but indeed this dragon was female, and her name was Saphira. ERagon soons meets a storyteller, Brom, who all soon embark on a journey. But before the journey is over Brom gets shot and Brom hand over his sword to Eragon, he told him that this sword was once an evil kings. There are legends about the time of the time of Dragons and Dragon Riders, to that day when Eragon found the blue stone in the Spine , there was no Dragons or Dragon Riders.

At the time i didn't understand it as well as i do now. i recommend this book to Jordan because he likes fantasy books, and he has read some fantasy books i have read in the past and i have liked them so i think he would like this book if he hasn't read it already....more
The Merchant of Death is about a boy named Bobby Pendragon who finds out he is a Traveler from Second Earth. His uncle Press is also the Traveler fromThe Merchant of Death is about a boy named Bobby Pendragon who finds out he is a Traveler from Second Earth. His uncle Press is also the Traveler from Second Earth, but there can only be one Traveler from each territory. Bobby must "accept the role of lead Traveler", and fight a Traveler named Saint Dane , who is trying to ruin Halla. (Halla is, every time and every place that ever existed) A problem Bobby must face is that it will be hard to find Saint Dane. He can take on the image of anyone else , but his ice blue eyes always deceive him. When Bobby was on second Earth Saint Dane took the form of a cop. Bobby must also face the "quiggs" that are at the entrance of every plum (plum is a entrance to another territory).Quiggs are Saint Dane's guards for the territories. On Second Earth the quiggs took a form of dogs and on Denduron they took the form of wild dogs. Bobby must enter threw a door that is marked with a star, that is guarded by quiggs, yell the name of the territory into the flume , get inside the flume, and that's how the Travelers travel form territory to territory.
Bobby writes stories of his travels and sends them threw his ring to his best friend Mark. But what Bobby doesn't know is that Mark has shared them Courtney , Bobby's girlfriend. Soon people start to notice that the Pendragon's have just disappeared. There is no trace of a living soul named Pendragon. A bully from Mark, Courtney's and Bobby's high school also notice hat the Pendragons have gone so he bullies Mark into telling him, Mark didn't tell. But at that very moment his ring started to glow and hums. A story was coming from Denduron from Bobby. Bobby soon has to travel to a different territory, once his work at Denduron is done. Hobey - Ho, Bobby will travel to the territory Cloral which is a territory that is fully covered in water.
I finished this book because I love the Pendragon series, I have the first two books. But the one thing I don't like about these books is that after reading about half the books, they all start to sound the same. This time Pendragon is just going to a different territory, the territories are just different name and different setting than the last territory and Bobby is trying to kill the same guy.
I recommend this book to Stephen because I think he likes the whole different worlds kind of thing and wanting to save the world. ...more

Soon the "regaular" kids start to turn against the "freaks" (kids wiht powers). Sam , has a "long lost" brother, Caine, who has turned against him and they are the "rich and stuck up" kids. They don't know what to do. Sam is the "father" of the "freaks" and "regaular" kids and Caine is the boss of the rich "freaks". Sam meets a girl with powers named Lana , she has the power to heal, and soon she gets in contact with The Darkness and its talking to her, Brainna gets the power to run faster than a bullet, Hunter gets the power to microwave people form the inside out, and Duck gets the power to sink into the ground and float/fly. They are planning to kill The Drakness, Little Pete is also (sort of) in contact with The Drakness, Astrid is afraid. Lana has a plan to kill The Darkness only a few people know about it.
I read this book becasue I read the first book and liked it and I wanted to finish the series.
I think Ruthy would like this book, of people who like The Hunger Games because Ruth likes any book (!) and because in some ways The Hunger Games and Hunger are the same.

Sophie starts to close up around herself.
Grace actually recommended this book to me.
I finished this book because I wondered what would happen. I love the suspense, and how the author gave a hint away in each chapter to lead us to make connections and infer what happens next.
I recommend this book to Jasmine because... I can't really say, as it would give the main secret of the book away....more

I picked/finished this book because it sounded like an adventure, mixed with a bit of horror, and I liked the way the author wrote.
I liked this book because it was a different adventure than in other books and there was a lot of cliff hangers.
I think Ruthy should read this book because she likes other Jonathan Stroud books. ...more
